SMS credits

Email and WhatsApp are included in your plan; SMS need credits. Here is how it works, what a text costs and where the credits come from.

  • One SMS costs 1 credit, to any country. One SMS holds up to 160 characters, or up to 70 with emojis or characters like á, ç or curly quotes (“ ”). Letters like é, ñ and ü count normally. A longer message counts as several SMS. Citypicked shows the cost before sending.
  • Basic includes no SMS, Pro 50 SMS a month and Business 400. Each paid invoice adds your plan's SMS to your credits, so none come during the free days. With yearly billing, the yearly invoice brings all 12 months at once: 600 credits on Pro.
  • Need more SMS, or want to send texts during the free days? Buy a pack under Settings, Plan & credits.
  • So you never run out, Citypicked can buy a pack by itself with “Top up automatically”.
  • Credits don't expire while you have an active plan.
  • If an SMS isn't delivered, you get the credits back. The history lists it as “Refunded”.
  • SMS to the US and Canada need a sender number first. We set it up for you; it takes about a week.
